TU Braunschweig

Technische Universität Braunschweig in Braunschweig, Germany, is the oldest institute of technology in Germany: the cornerstone of our modern university was already laid in the year 1745 with the Collegium Carolinum. The Technische Universität Braunschweig is member of »TU9 – German Institutes of Technology«. Together with Leibniz Universität Hannover and TU Clausthal, the TU Braunschweig forms the Niedersächsische Technische Hochschule, NTH. The field of action of the Product- and Life-Cycle-Management Research Group (lead by Prof. Christoph Herrmann) within the Institute of Machine Tools and Production Technology (IWF) is the life cycle oriented optimization of products and processes through the development and industrial application of adequate concepts, methods and tools towards a sustainable development. IWF is an associated member of the "Automotive Research Centre Niedersachsen" (NFF). The Product- and Life-Cycle-Management Research Group of IWF will primarily contribute to the project in WP2 and WP3. The main contribution is the integration of end-of-life aspects and the development of scenarios for future EoL technology developments. Furthermore, IWF will contribute its experience in teaching and didactic.
